Target School Supplies 75% Off Clearance

The school suppplies at Target are finally marked down to 75% in this area. I don't know why they went down so much sooner in other parts of the country! Anyway, what I found to be the best deal are the 5-packs of notebooks that are now only 12 cents each. That makes it only 2 1/2 cents per 70-sheet notebook! They had lots of other items left when I was there this morning also: filler paper, 3-ring binders, folders, markers, crayons, pencil boxes, etc. etc. Hope you find some good deals!

Freebie for Those Near Apple Valley

Free Breakfast Muffin Sandwich from Holiday

Each month, the Star Tribune web site has a coupon for a free item from Holiday Stationstores (with purchase). This month, the freebie is a Free Breakfast Muffin Sandwich with any purchase. Enjoy a nice cheap breakfast! You can print the coupon here and also see if there are any other local coupons you can use.

Get FREE Items with Menard's Rebates

If you live near a Menard's and you haven't yet done their rebates, you need to start! Almost every week (or two-week sale period) they have items that are free after rebate. The fine print on these rebates states "With additional $10 purchase of separate non-rebated items", but I have bought them without the $10 additional in the past and still have always been paid for my rebates.

Usually you can get at least two of each item, but check the fine print on the shelf display or the sales flyer for details. When you pay for your items, a separate rebate receipt will print out for each rebate item. After you pay, go to the service counter to pick up a rebate form for each item. The forms show a different address for each, but you can put them all in the same envelope and just address it to Menard's rebates and then copy the rest of the address from one of the forms.

The rebate amount comes in the form of a Menard's merchandise credit check that you can use on a future purchase. It's perfect to use to buy more rebate items! I have been blogging for a while now at Thrifty Jinxy and bringing readers lots of good info about deals, coupons, freebies and frugal tips. However, I often come across things that are only of local interest, not nationwide. So, I wanted to make sure to get these deals to my fellow Minnesotans (and those of you in neighboring states too!)
